Tequila Tapatío has been a stalwart of quality for over 80 years, upholding its commitment to authentic 100% Agave tequila through an artisanal, handmade process. Founded by Don Felipe Camarena Hernández in July 1937, "La Alteña" distillery introduced tequila under the brand "Tapatío" in 1940. In 1990, the international market saw the launch of "El Tesoro de Don Felipe," featuring tequilas tailored for global appeal. Celebrations marked the 70th and 75th anniversaries in 2007 and 2012, paying tribute to three generations shaping a family icon of artisanal quality. Tequila Tapatío's mission centers on preserving the craftsmanship and tradition of producing 100% agave tequila, prioritizing quality over quantity. Appearance
Intense straw yellow color, slightly amber with golden flashes. Medium-bodied.

Nose
Sweet cooked agave, crème Brulée, vanilla and caramel that give way to subtle aromas of cinnamon, red pepper and spices.

Taste
Sweet and spicy. Cooked Agave, Cocoa and vanilla combined with pepper, walnut and some berries. Vegetables and Woody notes. A soft, silky and very long finish with spices persisting in the back of the palate.

Aged 18 months in American white oak barrels, previously used in aging Whiskey.
