COLOR – a pale honey-amber, with yellow and brassy highlights
NOSE – oak and caramel up front, with soft peat like its wisping by on
a breeze, then butter, apricot, more oak only drier
PALATE – a nice buttery texture right up front, then oak, soft peat,
thick buttery caramel, salt, a nice prickly pepperiness
FINISH – an initial flare of the prickly pepperiness soon subsides
leaving soft peat, dark caramel, a bit of smoked dark chocolate
OVERALL – a nicely balanced blend of American and Scottish flavors
