Tasting Notes

Pours a wonderful golden-amber hue with thick legs and good viscosity. On the nose I get notes of butterscotch, praline pecans, grilled pineapple, lemon meringue pie and a hint of nutmeg and mint. There’s a brightness and tropical feel to the aromas, instantly uplifting and engaging the senses. On the palate I get notes of vanilla, fresh baked brioche, guava, turbinado sugar, browned butter, wood spice and cinnamon. The flavors remind me of pastry chefs dancing around your tongue and they’ve brought fruit tarts and baklava to the party. The finish is long and lingering and includes decadent peanut brittle spiked with fennel seeds and stoney minerals. Great overall complexity but remarkably approachable at such a high proof.
